Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center’s Hemby Children’s Hospital PICU

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center’s Hemby Children’s Hospital completed a significant expansion of its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in 2026, including the addition of a new pediatric intermediate care unit. This new unit creates a vital transition space between the PICU and general pediatric inpatient care, supporting children who no longer need the most critical level of care but still require specialized monitoring and support. 

For this important healthcare environment, the project specified Gerflor Premium flooring across approximately 4,000 square feet, including corridors, nurses’ stations, and patient rooms. The selected flooring provides a durable, hygienic, and visually comfortable solution tailored to the unique needs of pediatric healthcare spaces.
